Which knives and scissors do you sharpen?
All kitchen and household knives plus household and kitchen scissors. Japanese knives, Damascus, garden and hedge shears count as special tools – price quoted at pickup. Serrated-edge knives (bread knives) and axes are special tools too. We do not sharpen ceramic knives.
How long does it take?
Returned the next working day after pickup.
How do I pay?
On return, via PayPal or cash.
Is there a current offer?
Yes: as an autumn welcome gift, the first 100 yearly subscribers pay only €64.99 for the first year instead of €129 (−50 %).
How does the subscription work?
Regularly €129 per year, paid upfront, for 20 sharpenings with two pickups. Included: normal kitchen knives, household scissors and items of standard scope. Serrated-edge knives (bread knives), special tools and axes are not included. Extra services such as polishing, rust removal or blade repair are possible but cost extra. We do not sharpen ceramic knives. 12-month term, then it renews automatically at the then-current yearly price (currently €129) unless you cancel. Cancel any time with one month's notice by email to info@das-scharfe-messer.de. With the autumn welcome offer for the first 100 customers €64.99 in the first year.

Currently in Lichtenberg, Pankow and Prenzlauer Berg. More neighbourhoods coming.
We are a restaurant or café – is that possible?
Yes, with a separate contract, for example with monthly pickups. Packages and the subscription are for private households. Please contact our sales team: info@das-scharfe-messer.de.
